I never guessed the DMZ could be a wedding venue. Never. Ever. Not even once.
Henceforth are important life lessons I learned from the epic The King 2 Hearts…
1. This is not a game!
Seriously. This is not a game. It is a matter of unification and a marriage. Stop playing around already!
Life lesson: Sometimes you need to make lemonade from the lemons that life hands you; such as rigging explosives in a mind blowing tactic that would make MacGyver proud.
2. Girl’s Generation can and may start a world war.
How can anyone resist ‘Gee’?
Life lesson: I heard that the Backstreet Boys almost caused the launch of weapons of mass destruction. Take your Girl and Boy bands seriously. Hell- I do not want “Oh!” to be the last thing I hear!
3. Bon Bon.
I try to focus on the tasty snack cake. Instead I think about the bar-coded assassin, with all of her weird “Ride of the Valkyries”, drug chocolate eating frenzy.
Life lesson: Avoid anyone named after a Little Debbie or Hostess product. It is too weird. They are probably an assassin. Why do you think they have a bar-code? It is clearly what happens when snack cakes come to life!
4. It must be hard to fail the Bond villain audition.
Magic tricks cannot secure a spot in Ian Fleming’s masterpiece. Neither can simple nefarious plotting.
Life lesson: I almost feel sorry for John Mayer. He has the psychotic personality to rival the best of James Bond’s foils. Somehow though, he must not have made the cut and the disappointment must have crushed him. What else would be the reason for his long and drawn out schemes? Nothing. Nothing at all. Sorry John Mayer…maybe 2013 will be your year.
5. Dad is your best ally.
Fathers are great. They are even better when they facilitate a long lasting peace by approving a marriage.
Life lesson: My Dad said “sure, go ahead” when my husband mentioned marrying me. I think he meant- “Yes. Marry my princess if that means peace” Really- I am sure of it.
All around life lesson:
Why? Why did he have to die?
Yes, as a matter of fact I am still crying. Seriously? Why!
Life lesson: A major fault of this drama was the death of Eun Shi-kyung. My heart was torn in half. Going forward I will never like a boring, everyman palace guard again. It is just too painful. *Sob*
